I wrote these bios from my own head using several resources, mainly the Visual Dictionaries and the movies themselves. The information mentioned is very spoilery for the said movie so read at your own discretion. DO NOT duplicate this information without my consent.

Admiral Ackbar - a Mon Calamari admiral who leads the Rebel Fleet int eh battle against the second Death Star in Episode VI. Ackbar's most famous quote is "it's a trap!" used by Star Wars fanatics everywhere. He was once a slave to Grand Moff Tarkin and was rescued by the Rebels and convinced his people to aid the Rebels by giving them the giant bulbous Mon Cal star cruisers and the people to fly it. |

Wedge Antillies - X-Wing pilot who is shot and had to leave Luke during his attack run on the first Death Star. Wedge also pilots one of the snow speeders on the attack on Hoth as well as the lead X-Wing in the attack on the second Death Star. He is the remaining X-Wing pilot that helps Lando take out the central core of the second incomplete Death Star. |

Bounty Hunters - the 'scum' of the galaxy are recruited often by Imperials and gansta's alike to do the 'dirty work'. Most notorious is the illusive Boba Fett who has a habit of killing his prey. Other bounty hunters include Bossk a ferocious reptilian, Dengar, 4-LOM, Zuckuss and the IG-88 assassin droids. Greedo was the unsuccessful bounty hunter whilst Boushh was the bounty hunter Princess Leia posed as. |

Chewbacca - once a Wookie slave, was rescued by Han Solo and pledged a life debt to him. Chewie joins Han on the journey to Alderaan and into the belly of the Imperial beast. His reassuring mass is admired by all though for the most part he understand everyone but hardly anyone understands him. When Han is captured by Boba Fett, Chewie allows himself to be used as bait to get into Jabba's palace in order to rescue him. He is quick to anger and is somewhat reliable to repair things, only he just does things in a round-a-bout way. He is stead fast and loyal. |

Ewoks - some find the Ewoks the most annoying little creatures, some find them cute. I find them resourceful. The little 'teddy bears' are tribal in nature, native to the forest moon of Endor where the Imperials have set up the field generator. Wicket, the young Ewok who makes friends with Princess Leia and C-3PO (with he aid of some 'Force magic' by Luke) convince the little tykes to help aid them in taking the military base. The little creatures take on Stormtroopers, AT-STs and the like with their primitive little weapons. By sheer numbers they help them succeed. |

Boba Fett - most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy. Boba Fett takes after his Mandalorian 'father' in taking up the bounty hunting trade, but he is even better than Jango. Boba Fett is dark and mysterious, he only takes on those jobs he wants and only those that pays well. He is the most sort after hunter because he gets the job done and gets it done quickly. His body is covered in all sorts of armourments, darts, rocket launchers, jet pack and more. It takes him several minutes to disarm himself. He is in short a walking arsenal. More on Boba Fett. |

Imperials - many Imperials will is enforced by the might of its navy and assault forces and the price of failure can be death. All of the leaders are ambitious and strive for their very best even at the detriment of others, they are formidable military geniuses. They rule by martial law, converting all those in their path or enslaving them. The Empire is intolerant of non-humans, often forcing the non-humans into menial labour. Notable leaders are Grand Moff Tarkin who is the leader of the first Death Star, General Veers, Admiral Piett and Captain Needa. |

Jabba the Hutt - crime lord extraordinare, converses with smugglers, crime lords, bounty hunters and other 'scum' of the universe. He rules many aspects his own little criminal empire like much of the Hutts. He is a slimy creature, fat on his own wealth and importance. When Han Solo looses precious cargo, Jabba forces Han to pay up, the smuggler does his best but Jabba puts a bounty on his head and claims the 'Han statue' as a central display piece. Jabba laughs when Leia tries to rescue him and takes the Princess as his personal slave, much to her disgust. When the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker appears, Jabba happily feeds him to his deformed pet Rancor, but Luke kills it and Jabba sentences them to slow death in the Pit of Carkoon. Jabba is killed by Princess Leia who strangles him with her slave chain. |

Ben Kenobi - the hermit 'old Ben' of Tatoonine turns out to be the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who fought in the Clone Wars years past. He asks Luke to help him aid the Rebels in getting the Death Star plans to Alderaan. Luke agrees after he discovers the bodies of his aunt and uncle and together they make their way to Mos Eisly where Ben employs Han Solo to take them. On the trip Ben teaches Luke to start to use the Force but on their arrival to Alderaan there is nothing but debris where the planet used to be. "That is no moon" Ben declares as the ship is taken into the Death Star. He takes down the tractor beam emitters but is confronted by Darth Vader on the way out. Ben distracts Vader and sacrifices himself to the Force in order to help Luke. As Luke makes his run down the Death Star Obi-Wan instructs him to "Use the Force." Later the shade of Ben tells Luke to go to Dagobah and talks to Luke about Leia and Vader in RotJ. He appears one last time at the end of RotJ as a spirit with Anakin Skywalker and Yoda. |

Lando Calrissian - Baron Administrator of Cloud City on Bespin, con artist and smuggler he owned the Millennium Falcon before losing it to Han Solo in a sabacc match. He dresses regally to impress others and loves being in charge of things. He is forced to betray his friends in order to save his city but when things start to turn against him he sides with the Rebels and helps them escape. As retribution he goes after Han to Jabba's palace, setting things up for the rescue. Lando leads the strike force as a General to destroy the second Death Star relying on the Han and the others to get the shield generator down in time for their strike. |

Owen and Beru Lars - step brother to Anakin, Owen takes the baby Luke and raises him as a moisture farmer and allows him to keep his last name. Owen doesn't want Luke to join the military like the rest of his friends because he knows who Luke's father is and if Vader found Luke, only bad things could happen. Beru on the other hand doesn't see why after 20 years Vader would even think twice about Luke and wants him to let Luke go. Buying C-3PO and R2-D2 is the downfall of the Lars's who are killed, burnt alive by Imperial Stormtroopers. It is their death that makes Luke leave with Obi-Wan. |

Mon Mothma - the highest leader of the Rebels. She was a member of the galactic senate until the Emperor's control enveloped her, breaking away she started the Rebel Alliance. She has set up a Bothan spy network and relies on her allies Bail Organa, Princess Leia, Admiral Ackbar, Jan Dodnna and Carlist Rieekan to help the Rebel Alliance thrive and succeed. Though she knows the only way to stop the Empire is to stop it's leader, Emperor Palpatine. |

Princess Leia Organa - 'daughter' of Bail Organa of Alderaan she is the youngest to serve in the Intergalactic Senate, though secretly she is a Rebel and often runs intel and the like for her father and the Rebel Alliance. Her ship is captured with the Death Star plans which she promptly sends to 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' on Tatoonine. She is taken hostage by Vader and to the Death Star where she is tortured. Governor Tarkin blows up her home world and sentences her to death, but before she is killed she is rescued by Luke, Han and Chewie. She watches from the surface of Yavin-4 as Luke blows up the first Death Star. On Hoth she brushes off Han Solo's attempts to seduce her but is forced to go with him when she is blocked off from her ship, when the Falcon doesn't hyper jump she is forced in Han's company for even longer and on the cloud city of Bespin she declares her love from him as he is about to be frozen in carbonite. Once leaving she feels Luke calling to her and instructs Lando to save the Jedi. She dresses as a bounty hunter to save Han from Jabba but is caught and made into Jabba's slave girl (his previous one being eaten by the Rancor), she manages to strangle the fat slug with her slave collar before leaving with Luke, Han, Chewie and Lando as the Sail barge blows up. She joins Han's team on the surface of Endor and when her bike is damaged she meets up with the Ewoks. It is here that she is told by Luke that he is her brother and that Vader is their father. Convincing them to help they manage to destroy the field generator and blow up the second Death Star. |

Emperor Palpatine - through conniving and set ups Palpatine declared himself Emperor over the Galactic Empire and enforced military law on all of the systems. He has an intolerance for non-humoids and is a formidable Lord of the Sith. He uses his powers of persuasion to try and convince Luke Skywalker to become his new apprentice. But in his lust for power he neglected to notice that Darth Vader still had a touch of humanity in him and it is Vader who kills him by throwing the Emperor down into the reactor core. |

R2-D2 and C-3PO - Aboard Tantative IV, C-3PO and R2-D2 act as Princess Leia's personal droids. They are taken by the Jawas and sold to the Lars's. Luke cleans the pair of them up only to have R2-D2 run away on him. During his chase Luke encounters Sandpeople and is rescued by old Ben Kenobi. The droids are taken 'these aren't the droids you are looking for' on the grand adventure. R2-D2 becomes Luke's personal astromech droid for his X-Wing. They are 'given' to Jabba the Hutt during the Han Solo rescue and it is 3-CPO who manages to get the Ewoks on his side as they think he is their god. |

Rebels - the Rebel Alliance has been plaguing the Empire for years, they cause havoc and gather a lot of allies to their cause, especially the non-humoids who are treated as lesser citizens by the Empire. The Rebels have many technologies and compromise of a number of different people. They have a complex network set up of spies and recruiters. Some of the notable pilots include Biggs Darklighter, Luke's old friend, Wes Janson, Wedge Antillies. |

Luke Skywalker - moisture farmer who wants more from life, he wants to reach the stars but his uncle wont let him. But when Luke's aunt and uncle are killed and the hermit Ben is actually a Jedi Knight that needs his help in rescuing a princess Luke agrees. He learns that his father was also a Jedi Knight known as Anakin Skywalker. When they reach Alderaan and get captured by the Death Star Luke goes on the heroes quest to save Princess Leia. He is devastated when Ben sacrifices himself but quickly joins the Rebel Alliance as an X-Wing pilot. It is his skills with the Force that allow Luke to destroy the first Death Star (with the aid of Han g=in getting Vader off of his back and Ben of course). On Hoth Luke becomes stranded out in the snow and taken hostage by a wampaa, he cuts off the wampaa's arm and in hid delirium is told by Ben to seek out Yoda. Luke joins the other pilots in the snow speeder in taking down the AT-AT's by biding their legs and making them crash. He escorts the Falcon out of the shield and turns to the Dagobah system where he meets Jedi Master Yoda and starts training. When Luke receives a vision of his friends dying he quickly leaves his training prematurely and travels to Bespin where he springs Vader's trap. After Vader cuts off his arm and announces that his is Luke's father Luke lets himself drop and calls to Leia for help. He then rescues Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt (killing Jabba's rancor as well) and joins the team on Endor to take down the generator. He realises that he is endangering the mission as Vader can sense him and he gives himself over to Vader. Before the Emperor, Luke refuses to join them and the Emperor starts to kill him, Luke pleads with Vader to help him and right at the last moment is saved by his father. Luke drags Vader with him, trying to save him but it is too late. Back on Endor Luke joins the celebrations with his sister, Leia and friends. |

Han Solo - smuggler and general rogue, Han owes Jabba the Hutt some money and he kills the bounty hunter Greedo who was going to claim Han's bounty. Han takes on Ben's job for the money and quickly becomes embroiled in the events and lives of the Rebels. He tries to leave them but keeps coming back to help ultimately sealing his fate. He taunts Princess Leia, saying that she loves him and he tells her 'I know' just before hie is frozen in carbonite and taken to Jabba. After the rescue from Jabba's palace Han becomes a General and leads the Rebel team on Endor to destroy the shield generator. After much deliberation they achieve this and he is placated when Leia announces that Luke is her brother. |

Darth Vader - Dark Lord of the Sith, menacing in his large black suit, his heavy breathing and that voice. He is ruthless, killing on whims, not taking failure or criticism well. He captures Princess Leia and stands by as Alderaan is destroyed, he then challenges Obi-Wan and slays his old Master. Then he personally leads the TIE fighters to destroy the Rebe;s fighters on the first Death Star, only being thwarted by the larger Millennium Falcon, though he does realise that Luke has the Force. In ESB he tells the Imperials to destroy the Hoth base and sends the bounty hunters in search of Han Solo and Princess Leia, he finally captures them and uses them as bait for Luke on Cloud City, turning the carbonite Han Solo over to the bounty hunter Boba Fett. He lures Luke into the trap but Luke discovers it before it is sprung, they battle and Vader cuts off Luke's hand and proclaims he is Luke's father. Vader watches as Luke falls down into the depths of Cloud City and resolves to find him later. Luke surrenders himself over the Vader on Endor and they battle again in front of the Emperor, but Vader can't stand by and watch the Emperor kill his child and Vader destroys the Emperor, damaging himself beyond repair. As the Death Star crumples around them, Vader pleads with Luke to let him look on him with his own eyes, Anakin Skywalker finally returning. His spirit is seen with Yoda and Obi-Wan's back on Endor after Luke burnt the Vader suit. |

Yoda - the wise Jedi Master has been living on Dagobah for many many years and when Luke Skywalker comes to train with him Yoda doesn't make it easy, instead posing as a silly little creature. He doesn't want to train Luke but Ban convinces him otherwise and Yoda trains Luke. But part way through their training Luke runs off to save his friends at Bespin and Yoda fears that Luke will follow the same path as Vader. But Luke surprises him and when he returns the old Master tells Luke that there is only one last test, he must face Vader. Yoda then disappears leaving Luke alone on Dagobah until Ben's shade comes. Yoda makes one last appearance in spirit form on Endor when the Rebels had destroyed the Emperor and his Death Star. |
